At London Zoo, visitors used to toss coins into the
crocodile tank in vain attempts to stir some action.

                           Above our level
                              press thick waters.
                           Down here
                              we slither notes
                              permute out wits
                              divide infinitesimals.
                           We five discuss
                              we recommend
                              even, our snouts in line,
                              come to resolve
                              send strongly worded bubbles
                              wobbling upward.
                           Will they break to surface?
                           Weighed in our depth
                              we blink as down
                              loop slowly copper coins.
