Tondo

Where before
Perth saw
the daisies bloom
in September,
in 2016
they multiplied
in June,

tempting Tilly
to draw their shape
and form, relate
to the other name
of the daisy:
the day’s eye

could a daisy,
the most highly
developed plant
in time,

be considered
an iridian ally?

Would scientists
and sojourners
rally to halt
global warming,
frame today
as part of yesterday,
part of tomorrow?
